I just finished my RID treatment. Yesterday I had my scan. Anyone who has gone through it knows what fun it is. I had alot of trouble with the diet because I'm not a huge vegstable fan. Part way through the first week I started feeling the effects. I was on the diet for 17 days. Then when I went for the radiation iodine they told me I had to stay on the diet for another 48 hrs. Those were the hardest days. Truthfully every time i had to eat i dreaded it. the food started turning in my stomach. I do realize it would have been slightly easier had I liked veggies and cooking. At the moment I cant even stomach MRS Dash. Here in Vegas the RID was done as an outpatient treatment. I only had one real effect from the treatment. My legs would cramp up at all times of the day and night for hrs at a time. Almost like a charlie horse but not as bad. They would just twitich alot them tighten up and then relax and start again. Now that I had the treatment and the scan I find I am really tired. Guess my body has been really drained. I wont know the results of the scan till the 18th when I get to see the Endo dr again. I did start my hormones last night. So we will see how that goes. Glad I was able to do the diet at this time of the year though, cause I ate
alot of fruit.
