TSH Levels

I'm 4 months out from thyroid surgery (papillary cancer) and my endocrinologist goal for my TSH is 0.4. I guess he wants my body to be a little hyperthyroid so this will suppress any remaining thyroid tissue, makes sense. I have yet to reach my goal. My last TSH reading was 3.75, a little to high. I guess they'll probably increase my thyroid hormone soon. :?

My endocrinologist wanted to just keep my TSH in the low levels. I believe it was around .4-.6. Sounds similar to yours. I think studies have shown that low TSH levels have helped reduce the recurrence of thyroid cancer. Yes, I believe it does suppress of the thyroid cells. I sure don't have a weight problem now!

My TSH levels are unstable. I'm really working on getting them in a range where I feel good. :|

I just got my TSH this morning it was a little high 1.9. I'm sure my doctor will increase my thyroxine dose now.

I've been doing just fine with my TSH levels. Every so often I feel tired but my levels seem to be always around 1.0 My doctor did say he wants that number low. I'm taking 125 mg of thyroid medication. I take it early in the morning. I've heard this helps maintain a stable level better.

My TSH was suppressed all the way down to 0.006 (w/ 150mg), but then we had it rise to 95.00 in 6 weeks prior to my RAI.. Man, that was a change and i was a real scrooge ;)
